Women who opted using birth control pills have greater risk of increasing their blood pressures. Pill produces hormone progesterone, which is responsible in increasing blood pressures. Do birth control pills cause weight gain?

Women who use birth control pills often blame it for gaining weight. Yet, according to studies the effect of birth control pill on weight is lesser.

It’s just that the hormones in birth control pills works on tissues in hips, breast, and thighs that can make a woman feel she’s gained weight. This is usually due to fluid retention and slight male-sex-hormone where it affects on some women.
